Small Group Learning, Separation of Mixture of Solids

ALD2523-SGL
Aldon Corporation

Kit contains enough materials for 5 groups. This kit provides for a qualitative test that will help students visualize that two different solids were collected, despite their similar appearance.

$36.00

Performing liquid-liquid extractions allows students to apply their knowledge of the properties of molecules. Students will learn how the properties of solubility can be utilized to separate two solids in a mixture. This kit provides for a qualitative test that will help students visualize that two different solids were collected, despite their similar appearance. Students will also explore the concept of the law of conservation of mass as well as how acid-base reactions can be utilized to manipulate molecules. This kit contains enough material for 5 groups. Teacher’s Manual and Student Study Guide copymasters are included.
