The Kemtec AP® Chemistry Series includes 16 labs designed to meet the essential laboratory requirements of an AP Chemistry course
The Kemtec AP® Chemistry Series includes 16 labs designed to meet the essential laboratory requirements of an AP Chemistry course. As a series, these labs address the 2013 Essential Knowledge, Science Practices, and Learning Objectives established by the AP College Board. Six labs incorporate specific Inquiry components and all labs contain instructions for optional inquiry adaptations. For planning purposes, each manual contains a complete breakdown of the AP Framework correlations for each of the 16 lab experiments. Labs are typically completed in one 2.5 hour session, two 90-minute sessions or several 45-minute sessions. Requiring students to complete pre-lab assignments before coming to the lab reduces these lab times to less than one 2-hour session, two 60 minute sessions or three or four 45-minute sessions. Some labs do not require each section to be performed, allowing them to be modified to the time constraints of each school.

The Kemtec AP® Chemistry Series includes 16 labs designed to meet the essential laboratory requirements of an AP Chemistry course
Includes ten experiments exploring the characteristics of matter: Properties of Matter, States of Matter, Physical Properties of Solids, Physical Properties of Liquids, Melting Point, Boiling...
Students will develop a knowledge of the processes performed at a water treatment plant and understand the reasons for each process. They will perform, on a small-scale, several of the...
In this lab, students will gain an understanding of the basic differences between the properties of acids and bases, learn the role of hydrogen and hydroxide ions in acidic and basic substances,...
The activities in this kit focus on developing a better understanding of what is matter and what the different types of properties are
Kit contains enough materials for 15 groups. This kit provides for a qualitative test that will help students visualize that two different solids were collected, despite their similar...
Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures I focuses on solubility based separation methods: evaporation, distillation, filtration, and crystallization
In this activity, students will perform paper chromatography on three individual dyes, along with a mixture of dyes, to determine the composition of the mixture.
Students will test a series of microscale chemical combinations to learn how to identify if a chemical reaction has occurred. Aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)*
