Ten body systems are presented: 1) Nervous - brain (left hemisphere detaches), and detachable eyeball. 2) Cardiovascular or Circulatory System - heart (detaches and divides into halves), major blood vessels (color-coded to signify whether they carry oxygenated . . . red, or oxygen-depleted blood . . . blue). 3) Respiratory System - nose, nasal passages, larynx (voice box), trachea (windpipe), bronchi and bronchioles, lungs (half of each lung detaches), diaphragm, and portions of the rib cage. 4) Digestive System - mouth, teeth, tongue, salivary glands, esophagus, stomach (detaches), liver (detaches), pancreas, small and large intestine (detach as unit). 5) Urinary System - both kidneys, ureters, and urinary bladder. 6) Endocrine System - pituitary, thyroid, adrenals, and pancreas. 7) Immune or Lymphoid System - tonsil, spleen, bone marrow. 8) Integumentary System - skin. 9) Muscular System - represented by muscles of the jaw, tongue, and posterior body wall. 10) Skeletal System - represented by exposed portions of the skull and ribs. Furnished with a 19 page study guide which not only identifies 122 features numbered on the model, but explains their physiological functions as well.
