Bring the experiences of Sgt. Lou Savelli, a veteran police officer and internationally-renowned figure in crime enforcement and education, to your science class. First, Sgt. Savelli will teach your students how to properly document a crime scene. Students will then use their observational skills to create a composite sketch of a suspect using the included FACES� � the same program used by police agencies all over the world. They will then implicate the suspect after carrying out a variety of forensic techniques including simulated blood typing, blood spatter analysis, fingerprint analysis, glass analysis, luminol detection of simulated blood, and DNA analysis. The activity will yield a different result each time it is run. Includes enough materials for 30 students, Examining Forensic Science and Blood Typing posters, a teacher's guide, and student copymaster. Requires a computer with a minimum system requirement of Windows 98 or OS 8.6. To promote child safety, we also include 30 take-home personal ID kits that allow your students' parents or guardians to collect their child's fingerprints, DNA, and other personal information as a record in case of an emergency.
