Enzyme Activity Study Kit

All living organisms must alter nutrients in order to make them usable. The 5 experiments in this kit allow students to observe the very factors affecting enzyme activity while studying catalysis in an organic reaction. Students will be able to: 1) Compare the role of an enzyme to that of a reacting substance; 2) Test the effect of enzyme concentration on rate of reaction; 3) Test the effect of time on rate of reaction; 4) Test the effect of pH on enzyme reaction; 5) Observe the effect of temperature on an enzyme. Tests are performed in drop quantities with the LAB-AIDS CHEMPLATE, thus eliminating the need for additional equipment or apparatus. Kit contains enough material for 12 lab groups of 2 students each for 2 classes.
